H.G. Electronic Factory
Since 1984, all of our manufacturing and assembly operations have been conducted in the People's Republic of (PRC) in the Longgang Industrial Estate of Shenzhen. Our vertically integrated manufacturing facilities include plastic injection molding of lenses and other parts, stamping and machining of metal parts, manufacturing of printed circuit boards ("PCBs"), assembly of PCBs using surface mount technology machinery and manual insertion, application specific integrated circuit bonding, quality control, quality assurance, painting and final assembly and testing. Our operations currently encompass over 600,000 square feet and consist of manufacturing facilities as well as employee dormitories that house our PRC workers.
These manufacturing facilities received the Social Accountability 8000 ("SA8000") certification in November 2001. SA8000 is an international standard designed to ensure safe working conditions, fair management practices and the protection of workers' rights. Our PRC Manufacturing facilities are also ISO 9000 and 9001 accredited, further supporting our position as a premier global manufacturer.
Environmental Policy Statement
Concord H.G. Electronic Factory strives to conduct its business profitably with a commitment to protecting the quality of the environment. To achieve this objective, Concord H.G. Electronic Factory is committed to the prevention of pollution and will, to the extent reasonably practicable, minimize the impact of its operations on the environment. Concord H.G. Electronic Factory strives for continuous improvement of its environmental performance through systematic management practice. In conjunction with this policy, a series of procedures, guidelines, rules and programs on specific environment matters will be prepared and issued consistent with the following principles:
1. A commitment to compliance with Concord H.G. Electronic Factory and local environmental legislation and other guidelines and codes of practice that implicate environmental performance.
2. A commitment to set and periodically review environmental objectives and targets.
3. A commitment to waste minimization and proper waste handling in existing operations and the planning or purchasing of new environmentally friendly plant, equipment, processes or substances.
4. A commitment to maintaining an environmental reporting system so that senior management is kept informed of important environmental developments, including any incidents that might impact the environment.
5. A commitment to provide education and training to employees on environmental issues.
6. A commitment to identify positions within the business (Senior Management, Supervisors and Operators) having responsibility essential to the success of the policy.
